I think it would be wise for ALL products like food, cat food, personal hygiene, maybe even cleaning products and maybe even ALL commercial items to stamp a date on them. Not necessarily an expiration date, but maybe a general "this was bought or put on the shelf on this date" type date. It would be very helpful to those who move in with their ( Read more... )

This proves that I'm a terrible person, but my first reaction to this post was to chant, "Someone's worse than mee-ee! Someone's worse than mee-ee!"

In related news, I want your permission to send a couple of things along with my mom: some Minnesota wild rice and a couple of Guinness in bottles are what come to mind immediately. If these things would just take up space, I won't send them.

I'm sorry that the G. hoarding gene is driving you bananas.

Full disclosure: Not long after leaving the previous comment, I found an unopened box of falafel mix in my pantry that expired in 2005.

Maybe I am being conditioned, because 2005 doesn't seem that bad. Heck, that's practically that's practically a recent trip to the market! That's only a possible pre-schooler!
