I'm trying to just be blase about this whole house-hunting process and not to get too interested in any one particular house, so it won't be too disappointing if we don't get it. But I can't help but be charmed by this one, which we have an appointment to view tomorrow:

It's also about $40,000 more than the other houses we've looked at. Which is probably why it's so cute. :)

I'm just fortunate to have a significant other who has a good job, good credit and carries no debt (the latter is my downfall).

Cats are definitely less expensive than dogs, IMO, but if you're not sure, start with a betta.
