It looks completely different with the snow - and absolutely beautiful no matter the weather. You're so lucky to have a view like that :)

so I'm American, but my paternal grandmother's parents emigrated to the US from Ireland so we have a lot of 'homeland' type pride- my husband took me there for our honeymoon. I've only visited that one time and I was just outright emotionally overwhelmed at being there... you are totally making me ache for that same connection. I cannot wait to return. I am going to go soon- maybe my first vacation after BOTS (officer training)... just... wow. omg. ~yearn~

I know that feeling, not for a country as such but a particular town that my family come from but where I have never lived. I just feel 'home' when I go there. I hope to move there in the near future *fingers crossed*
I hope you get to come over on vacation, you'll definitely deserve one after officer training! (Well done on that too!)

Yeah I'm lucky with the view. It's funny how you take it for granted till people who don't live here point it out!
