Great chapter. Loved the insight that Dean's 4-yr-old brain interpreted Mary's "never tell" into a life of muteness. Interesting. Looking forward to more!

Thank you! There's at least one more story -- most likely more than that that, but I have at least one more in mind.

Aaaaagh. *flail* So good. Deeeeean! And your Missouri voice is *awesome*, really, I haven't seen one this good before. I like the conflict you've set up here, it's not the same when they're communicating even less than on the show.

Yeah, these boys have some mad, mad, mad issues going on. Kinda makes you wonder what they're actually saying to each other when there's no third party around to observe. . . . ;D

Thanks for reading, and thanks so much for the compliment to the Missouri voice! I love writing her, though I don't do it that often.

Oh! Poor Dean!

Um. That's it, really. You just blew my mind.

Heeee. That's a perfectly good reaction. And, sadly, totally what I was going for. . . . ;D

Thanks!

Oh, these are really good!

I just read through the whole series, and I love the concept, *and* the execution. I even dared to imagine Jess would survive when you wrote the first one from her pov. (Poor Jess!)

Mary's command turning Dean mute is a stroke of genius; this whole thing comes together really well.

Thanks! Honestly, I'm finding out more and more about the 'verse as I go along just like you are. I'm glad you're enjoying this, and that both concept and execution are working so well for you.

Thank you. To a certain extent, I see echoes of canon!Sam in the Dean of this 'verse -- his resentment of the people who raised him, his belief that his "remaining" parent should have been there for them, more. I'm glad to see that this is as interesting for you guys reading as it is when I'm writing it.
