Oh wow!! I did not expect that to be Mary! And DEAN. The way Ellen observes that every sound is like it hurts him... and Sam laying into Mary for making Dean not speak, but then the demon turning up - how fabulous.

This is *such* a strong, interesting, well put together, well crafted series. I am very happy to have found it and I hope you are really proud of it. Seriously, I am knackered and moody tonight from work, and I thought, I dont' have time for reading any fics, but I couldn't resist this and it cheered me up and made my evening - and anything that can do that, well, it must be made of awesome!

That is definitely a hell of a compliment. I'm glad my work could cheer you up like that! And, yes, I really am quite proud of this series, especially how Dean and Sam are turning out, the way they're changed from canon but still the same guys.

I'm just glad everyone else seems to be finding it as interesting as I am.

I'd known Mary was still alive back when you told us the back-story of the Impala, so their reunion wasn't exactly surprising, just heartbreaking. Dean's reaction to seeing her, the way he leaned into her hand like in WIAWSNB was just so perfect. Man, that poor screwed-up family.

Very nicely done! I enjoyed this latest installment a lot. I wasn’t expecting that twist about Maggie; very cool! Good job writing that reunion. I’m glad that Sam was indignant on Dean’s behalf regarding Mary apparently convincing Dean not to talk, and I like the emergency of Sam’s power. That last scene with everyone in the parking lot was wonderfully intense.

They got outside to see Dean standing with his hands pressed to the roof of a familiarly-shaped black muscle car.

I really like this image. It’s so Dean to walk away to gather himself, to go to his car, to lean into it with this pose.

"How?" Sam flinched, the way he did every time Dean made a sound. Ellen could sympathize, the boy spoke like every noise hurt on the way out.
