How to Submit a Rough Draft

Dec 07, 2009 19:23

Hey guys, the time is drawing near for you to get your rough drafts in. You have until December 11th to email us your rough draft, as long as it’s the 11th in your area you are good. Your rough draft needs to be either 10,000 words and completed or at least 8,000 words with more than 80% of the fic done. Honestly, even if you don't have that much ( Read more... )

Are we supposed to give a "summary" more like what you would put in the header of any fic post, or are we actually giving the artists a pretty detailed idea about what the whole story is about? I guess what I'm asking is like, how much are we spoiling?

For artits it would be best if you go with the pretty detailed version.

Kay, I have a question. People aren't going to be reading my rough draft are they? Like, I'm cool if you want to check through it to make sure I'm on track. But I'm kind of a psycho perfectionist and I don't like the idea of sharing my draft... which I guess might be the point, for artists to claim stuff? :/

Only the mods will be seeing it and the artist that claims the story (we will forward them the draft), any further drafts you can give to the artist.

Okay, awesome. I will send along what I have tomorrow. It's not complete by any means, but all the plotting is there, and it's around 8000.

how will the artists be able to claim the stories if they aren't reading the drafts? Sorry, I'm slow...

okay, so stupid question...

I've only got about 4000 words actually typed up, and it's not in a real order, they're random, choppy scenes without much connecting plot. I have a lot written down that still needs to be typed, but I don't want to miss the deadline or anything...is it still okay to email what I have, even though it's still so rough? :/
