You sure pop up at random times! It's always nice to hear you're doing ok though. The whole years vs. relationship thing. I suppose for me, IF I were to assume that, it would be because I couldn't understand why someone would stay with someone if they didn't have long term goals. Then again I freak out all the time about being alone and am in general a relationship person. I think there are relationship people and non-relationship people. Meaning that some people can take it or leave it, and those people are probably the people who are assuming things, because it's their goal (one of the main ones) to find as soon as possible, the person they want to spend their whole life with. Maybe not, just a theory.
Well, Alex and I definitely have long term goals together, however, we don't see why it is so important to get married. The only reasons I can think of for getting married have nothing to do with sentimentality...
1) The party. All the fun of having everybody I know get together and have a great excuse/reason to dress up and have fun.
2)Financial ease. As well as the assurance of knowing if something happens to one of us, the other will be there and serious reasons such as that.
As for relationship vs. non relationship people. I think everybody is a relationship person except real bastards and those sad people don't even have friends. People have arying degrees to which they need/want a significant other, but I don't htink that really matters in terms of how committed one us.
