Where is the sun?

What is happening to the weather?
Seriously.

I woke up at 10am and thought it was still night. I had to turn on the lights to be able to see where I was going down the stairs.

And it's cold. I'm sitting here in bed in need of putting the electric blanket on and my shoulders are freezing.

It AUGUST!! This is supposed to be summer!

That's very true. The only kids I know who've seen any sun are the ones with parents well off enough to take them abroad.

I know. I am wearing bedsocks already and had the second quilt on my bed last week.

It's not funny really is it?

How you doing?!

I'm glad it's not just me with the blue feet!!

I'm hanging in there, just about. My sleep has gone even more screwy than normal and I'm on a 5am-11am constantly-knackered schedule.

The blumin' weather is making me as achey as hell too.

How's things with you up there?

It's pretty dire. Like you I'm best in sunnier weather, and we've had none since May :(

Now you know why I ate up your vacation pix! ;)

It's bizarre! I'm still hoping for a few sunny days as I haven't had a chance to wear a lovely summer skirt I bought last month.

I just hope that we'll have a proper winter this year!

You know I've not worn my summer skirt either (I've just got the one good one from Per Una). I bought some cutoffy/combatty type linen trousers from Asda in May, in anticipation of some good weather and I've only worn them the once since I got them !!

I hate winters unless it's that nice dry cold with clear blue skies and I can snuggle up. But all we've had is damp, dreary kind for the past couple of years now. Granted they are mild, but I still hate them!
