Right.. costume plans... what am I meant to be doing....
Up until last week I was so busy! And there's still so much to be doing... but it's so easy to sit around and not do it at the moment...
ok. So, the picnic... I was working on Fluffycass for Mazz, Kittybelle for myself... Bill Bailey for Rach, revamping Etcy 1 into Sillabub and going over Misto. Wigs all Dani's problem, I painted Sillabub and Cass, Dani painted Billie.
Kittybelle totally hasn't happened yet.
Cass - wig by Dani, rest is my work. Legwarmers are nicked from Victor, Mazz obviously added the skates for fun - skating Cats looked brilliant! The armwarmers I knitted are really nice but totally not right for this costume - they're chocolate and latte, none of the warm caramel tones of the rest of the costume. So I need to knit new warmers for Cass. Need to buy caramel coloured yarns.
Billie - Rach didn't actually make it in costume for the picnic.
I made the unitard, tail and warmers. Dani painted, and the wig is her Carby - she'll make a Billy wig before Expo in October. She's also adding to the fluffies.
In the end Sam couldn't make it so Sillabub didn't get worn... but... the paint job really didn't end up looking that like Sillabub. I really liked it tho so I left it as is.
Misto just got new sleeves and a new wig from Dani. He ended up borrowing Alonzo's warmers too...
OK. So. Next costume event is Mem's Magic party, bank holiday weekend. I'll pull out my old Killer Queen costume - well, it's a kind of magic... :P Mem wants to make a Calypso/Tia Dalma from Pirates of the Caribbean, which would be cool.... bodice, lots of skirts, Polonaise/overdress, all broken down and sea-themed. I'm happy to help at a mate's rate of £5/hour and Mem gets the fabrics. Will be interesting.
Then Dani wants Mungojerrie and Rumpleteaser song costumes - leotard, stockings, gloves, vest and legwarmers, all in white.
Expo/Halloween - Friday, Cirque cosplay. Rach is doing La Nouba's Green Bird, I'm accompanying her as the Cleaning Lady. No-one will get my costume apart from with hers... I'm gonna be helping Rach but basically her work. In theory.
Saturday - Mazz and I are gonna do Clockworks from Doctor Who. That means big sack-back frocks...
Mazz's wanting the lilac, I bags the pink. Big Frocks! Hoorah! And Meccano prop weapons!
ohh... tho... we will need to make another set of prawns. No biggie. Maybe I should start with that...
THEN - Sunday - Cats playing about day. Billie and Fluffycass will make another appearance... I need to get Kittybelle done. So that's bodice, lycra, wig, warmers, gloves...
