Luck of the Welsh?

The saying is "luck of the Irish" but in my father's case, it's "Luck of the Welsh". Two weeks ago, he fell and broke a rib - totally broke it, not just fractured. Anyone that knows my dad knows he tends to imbibe heavily - usually in Vodka. His idea of a drink is a 16 oz glass.. with 14 oz of Vodka and a splash of tonic water and a few ice ( Read more... )

Thank you, hon. Dad is a hurting unit today, moreso than yesterday, but he will recover - I'm glad they are keeping him in the hospital where they can take care of his pain with a dilauded pump.

As far as the new car... I think I'm going to get another Matrix - I really liked that car, and I loved the 4 wheel drive aspect during the winter - on these hills, it came in handy.

I'm so glad to hear he's okay.. sucks about your pretty new car..but it is just a car and I'm so relieved your dad is alright.. my thoughts are with him for a speedy recovery!
