Ok, ya'll. As you may, or may not, know, I auditioned for Grease on Thursday and got called back to read on Sunday. I now have my biggest role in a musical to date :) I'm in the ensemble, but I'm also playing Patty Simcox, the Rydell cheerleading captain, on alternating performances. First of all, congradulations!! I'm so happy for you! I wish I could see your preformance. :(

I wouldn't blame you for dropping Japanese. You could always take it next semester when it fits into your schedule. However, don't let your mother or anyone tell you what your limits are. If you're truly dedicated and really want to learn, you'll somehow make it work. And the sooner you start learning, the closer you'll be to understanding.

But Japanese is a big venture. If you drop it this semester, I could teach you some basic stuff and you could be ahead of the game in the Spring. You'd also have an entire semester to learn the kana as opposed to just a few weeks.

If you decide to drop it, I say more power to you. I hate to see you all sick and stressed out like this! I'm starting to worry about you.

When do you have to decide?

I'm going to go to class tonight and decide then. I think I just made a classic college freshman mistake of biting off a little more than I could chew. Next semester I'm definately taking it easier and I'll probably do the Summer semester (part time) to make sure I get everything in. It turns out we only need to be taking 12 credits. I'll still be taking 13 if I drop Japanese. My original course load had 18, but pilates was full and Dramatic Performance Workshop was 3 nights a week for a few hours for only 1 credit, so I just took Acting, which I had at 8 this morning and Monday mornings. It's a real beast to get up. Not even a shower and my "wake up" citrus shampoo are helping.

They are taping Grease, though they'll probably tape when I'm in the ensemble. I'm going to ask my dad to tape it too, so that tape will be like Grease, starring Tanya Wheelock. I could try and send it to you if you want to see it and it comes out ok. I get to get punched in the eye for calling Sandy a floosy when she skanks herself up so Danny will ( ... )
