You've already heard from me once today, but I just had to share this. We took Dillon over to see the house for the first time. We only stayed about an hour, but it was enough time for him to thorougly explore the place

You know, you're having too much fun with this. ;)
You said something to him about rollerblading on the floor earlier though, didn't you? Cause he came up to me before we had the little talk about the rules and asked if I could buy him a new pair of rollerblades. I asked him why and he said, "cause mum said I couldn't use my old messy rollerblades on the wood floor, so I need new ones so that I can rollerblade on the floor."
You deserve to have some fun though. This whole thing with your sister sucks.
And there'll be time for fun when we get back from Ireland, for now I can look forward to that...because you know I'm not looking forward to going back there.
It's a shame you'll have to meet my family at such a shitty time. But maybe Mama won't be so cold to you as she would be normally. The old batty has other things on her mind at the moment. /=

And its a good thing you didn't add any rules in there about no sock-skating. I could do that all day...
But I don't think you need to worry about Dillon's little pastime. It's better than sitting around mindlessly watching crappy television shows. At least he's watching real life. And you can learn a lot about people and society in general from just watching. I do that a lot myself. >:)

I agree, watching all that uninformative rubbish on the telly is so much less mind-opening than the real world. The things I worry about him seeing are those street punks that hang out all over the place. He's watched several cars get vandalised before. Including my own once!
I just don't want him to get the completely wrong idea that down there is all there is to life. Sometimes I would prefer him to watch cartoons instead of facing reality, but that really doesn't work in his favour. He's going to have to figure it out sooner or later, I suppose.
