Life is Short

Woke up this morning to the news that a childhood friend of mine died in a motorcycle accident--his 27th birthday was a month from now. To compound this, his sister died in a car accident two months ago. I love that family dearly and this is probably the most tragic event I've ever experienced

The family has suffered two losses in less than 3 months? Oh god, and now their dad is in the hospital.

I don't know if we ever learn how to deal with tragedies such as these, all I can say is that I'm very sorry that you've all had to deal with so much pain and I send you all my heartfelt sympathy.

I think it will give the family some peace to know how much their son and daughter were loved and will be remembered by dear friends such as you.
