I went to the Junior Center today to fill all my paperwork out and talk to my new boss, Tammara. I am kind of bummed they are only offering me $12 but that's pretty good for a summer job. Oooh that is a cool bird...it makes sense because there is a lake right next to the center, so they have lots of yummies to eat...:)

They are stubborn things, the one on my car WOULD NOT GET OFF, I tried shooing it and using my keys to maybe startle it...I then started the car and backed up slowly and it was STILL on the roof! It wasn't until I put the car in drive that it FINALLY flew off...;)

haha nah these birds just stared at me and walked around...it was just odd to be around such a vast number of geese and these herons...there were TONS...;)

that would so creep me out. we had a flock of weird looking birds (they were black with orange chests) in our back yard the other day. there were like 50 of them, it was the weirdest feeling. but at least the birds i had were small, yours were huge.

Those birds sound cool...:) I like birds, even though I was bitten in the ear by the cockatoo at the vet clinic I used to work at...I am not scared of them though, so that's cool...

I only met my boss and the front desk lady, but I interviewed with them. There is a staff meeting next Friday and I intend to go and meet some of the summer school teachers.
Nope they don't attack...a Canadian goose was nuzzling me when I went in to interview...I thought it was a kid touching my butt, haha. I have heard of them attacking, but these ones are super tame due to people ALWAYS being around...:)
Yea I have heard that about Magpies...crazy birds! :P

They have food without effort, of course there is a lot of birds...hehehe...they don't have to look for food, hehe.
They do make noises, but I like the honking of geese...it's weird, I know, but I love it! :)

The "honking of geese" part reminds me of a nearby dogpark I take my dog to now and then. There's always geese honking now and then. It's almost..soothing, if that makes sense at all lmao.

Night Herons! Beautiful birds. Seem to hang around a lot of places where exotics are found... the only times I have seen them in the wild have been at zoos, the falconry or wildlife sanctuary. Guess they know where the best food can be found.

Huh weird, they are free roaming at the park. This is the first time I have seen them; the last time I was at the park I only saw pigeons and Canadian geese...
