Yay, this post seriously made me think.... I read the book. I loved it. And somehow I still do..... and now I'm writing my dissertation and this book is one of the fiction books I'm going to analyse in it, aside with Bernard Cornwell's The Warlord Chronicles trilogy and Persia Woolley's Guinnevere trilogy, and you are right, studying arthurian theme in serious way definitely ruins the pleasure of reading... The Mists of Avalon was also the very book that inspirated me to write my first fantasy short story and now I'm published fantasy writer.... soo... thank you Ms. Bradley for writing it, without this book my ife wouldn't be the one that I love! ^^

The Mists of Avalon. The book I will never forget. (but after finishing my dissertation I think it will take a while before I will take it from the bookcase again)
