Age: 16
Role In Canon: Rival/Friend of the main character. She appears in the Pokemon anime and manga, but I'm basing her characterisation completely off her role in the game as I haven't seen the anime or read the manga.
History:
Bianca was born in Nuvema Town, a small town in the Unova region. There she grew up, raised by an overprotective father and her mother, alongside her best friends Touko and Cheren. When she was sixteen, she was given a Pokemon by Professor Juniper and a mission; to complete the Pokedex. Touko and Cheren were given the same mission, and both given Pokemon. Touko chose Oshawott, while Bianca leaped for Tepig immediately after, leaving Cheren with Snivy. The whole thing was apparently arranged behind the scenes by the three's mothers, but Bianca's father was heavily against his daughter going as he believed she would be put in danger travelling by herself. After arguing it out, Bianca left Nuvema despite his wishes, along with Touko and Cheren.
Bianca traveled on to Striaton City, where she presumably gained her first gym badge in a battle against Cress. She met up with Touko again in the Dreamyard, where they helped rescue a Munna from being attacked by Team Plasma. Safe to say, Team Plasma did not make the best first impression on Bianca, and once Touko left she searched for one of the Munna that inhabited the Dreamyard, and managed to catch one. Later, Bianca met a little girl who had just had one of her Pokemon stolen by Team Plasma. She chased after them, meeting up with Touko and Cheren on the way who ended up rescuing the kidnapped Pokemon while Bianca looked after the little girl. We don't see Bianca again until after Team Plasma steals a Pokemon skull from the Narcene City museum, where she and Cheren guarded the museum while Touko and the gym leaders searched for Team Plasma.
In Castelia City, Bianca had her Munna stolen by Team Plasma members. After being confronted by Burgh, Iris, Touko and Bianca they return her, leaving Bianca thrilled and simply thankful that Munna is safe. Iris and Bianca become friends and Iris gives Bianca some "tips" while she's in the city to help her get stronger. Later, on Route 4 and on the way out of the city, Bianca called Touko up to battle her so she could try out her new skills. They did battle and hey, Bianca lost! But whatever, no harm done.
Later, Bianca meets up with Touko again in Nimbasa City, to do a little sight-seeing before taking on the local gym. There her father finds them and tries to convince her to go home. Elesa (the gym leader) intervenes and Bianca's father ends up accepting that this is his daughter's wish. He gives Bianca HM02, Fly, so she can return home whenever she wants, though. She doesn't seem particularly happy with the gesture and later shares the HM02 with Touko and Cheren.
I'll be taking Bianca from after this point, but before she meets up with Touko again in Driftveil City.
Personality:
Bianca is a cheerful, optimistic young girl, always ready for excitement, adventure and fun. She can be rather absentminded and even ditzy at times, however. She's frequently late and often forgetful, occasionally to the frustration of her friends. Though she tries hard, she has trouble staying focused and gets distracted easily. This can lead to problems when she's responsible for the safety and well being of herself and her entire team of Pokemon while they're travelling, she sometimes gets lost or forgets to stock up on potions. She loves her Pokemon completely, and showers them with affection, and by all appearances they seem to tolerate her flaws and care for her anyway, as seen when Munna runs back to Bianca after she has been rescued from Team Plasma. She would do anything to keep them safe.
Though she has her flaws, Bianca is a good person. She has a kind heart and forgives people easily, and tries to help people whenever she can. She believes strongly in justice and fairness, and will do her best to stick up for anyone she believes to be wronged. She's aware that she can be kind of unreliable, so she tries to help and defend people whenever she does have the chance to. She loves her friends, but she's emotionally quite independent from them, quite happy to journey separately from them and only running into them occasionally. However, Bianca suffers from low self-esteem and insecurity, despite her cheerful behaviour. Growing up alongside Cheren and Touko kind of leaves her feeling like she doesn't measure up to her best friends. Her father's response to her wish to travel Unova didn't help. Though he does love her and wanted the best for her, his lack of confidence in her abilities was a rather harsh blow. They've been able to reconcile their differing views since then, but it's still fairly obvious that he wants her to return home. Bianca seems even more intent on not doing so now. Despite this, she worries that she isn't strong enough to take care of her Pokemon, that she isn't strong enough to keep up with Touko and Cheren and that her father is right about her not being able to handle the outside world.
However, this seems to have left Bianca even more determined to prove herself. She's pretty accepting of the fact that not everyone can be the strongest, but she keeps pushing on anyway. She's also actually a much more competent trainer than she gives herself credit for. She moves along at her own pace, and likes to have fun with her Pokemon and her journey, but she's very hard-working and dedicated to achieving her goals eventually. She doesn't believe in rushing things, and thinks the best approach to take is to savour moments as they come, instead of rushing off to the next one. Unlike Cheren, she's much more focused on the fun aspects of Pokemon training. She's content to spend a few hours lying in a safe patch of grass with her team, soaking up the sun, or by running around a new city and checking out all the exciting attractions she never got to see in her small home town.

Bianca herself is just a normal teenage, human girl, but she does come equipped! With four Pokemon. I've chosen which ones based off the ones she has at the point in canon I'm taking her from, in the route Touko is from. (The one where Bianca chooses Tepig). Hi, guys! Um, I was just thinking! Every time I try to catch one of the Pokemon here, it doesn't work... Does anyone know if there are any places here with catchable Pokemon? Are there any in those Wild Places? That sounds like the kind of place strong Pokemon would normally live!
I'm asking because, you know, if I'm stuck here I might as well try to catch new Pokemon and add to the Pokedex. [Holds up her Pokedex to be viewed.] I bet Professor Juniper would be really impressed if we got Pokemon from another world! Plus, well, it would give my team something to do... I think they're getting a little bored.
