Now I understand why you had so much fun writing Danny's POV. hahahaha! The misspelling (OMG "Coal" was too much! I can't even! asdfghjk), the change to easier words, the talk to the diary... perfect! I still find it a little bit odd for Danny, but enjoyable nonetheless!

Ooh, I'm impressed with female namesake! And here I thought she was a little slow on the ball, when it turns out she actually ships them too. Maybe it's a name thing ("Carla", meaning the one that ships). Bwahahaha!
