Bugger! I didn't know that was going to be on BBC2 - I must look out for it next week. I bought the first book today, and I've heard that it's much more in depth than the film, so I'm really looking forward to it.

Huge congratulations on the size 12. I can only ever dream of such things!

I grew up with the TV version (and the radio play), so I have to be honest I'm slightly dubious about going to see the film. I'm going to try and catch it this weekend though. All the while desperately clinging on to the 80s TV version *g*

I spoke to someone who's a huge fan of the tv version and he enjoyed the film a lot so I'm sure you'll enjoy it - well I hope you do! Don't be hard on it - if nothing else it's opened up the Hitchhikers world to a whole new set of fans (- ie: me!)
