yes, you thanked me for my card. I got a card yesterday, 6 January, from a friend here in the US that was postmarked 20 December. I saw a video on the TV news showing the HUGE backlog of packages sitting in one large city post office that are still awaiting delivery. What a mess.

That's awful. It seems many will be getting their Christmas gifts late this year. I suppose with people not able to visit, then they're posting them instead, which may account for the increase. There's a delay here too, but i don't think it's that bad. I posted a couple of late cards for the UK a few days before Xmas and they arrived just over a week later. I really must start earlier next year, but i say that every year, and i never do ;( xx
