Wow. Im both sorry to hear that your engagement is over, and happy that you have avoided being locked into a bad choice for the rest of your life. I dont know much about Chris or anything like that, but you are the best judge of what is best for you, and I am glad that you are making the hard decisions that you need to in order to be happy.
In other news, would you like to hang out tonight in Chicago before you head back? I still havent gotten a chance to see you and I want to!
I got the voicemail at about midnight. Stupid phone. Sorry I missed hanging out last night. I'm sure I'll be in town again. I'll try and give you a ring.
I'm proud of you Jeanne for being who you are despite everything and because of everything. Your mom would be proud of you too. Life really is a journey and we don't know who we are going to cross paths with and when, but that's life. I'm sorry that you have had to go through this but you have learned so much about yourself. I hope you know that there are those of us in michigan who will always be here for you, esp me. Keep hanging in there :) And tell Michele I said hi.
Much love for JeanneleeskaFebruary 2 2007, 16:59:56 UTC
Jeanne, you are an amazing person. I have always admired how hard-working and strong you are. You may not feel strong all of the time, but you will always pull through. You are level-headed, caring, and wise beyond your years. That is a good group of characteristics! I am happy that you are doing what is good for you!
I have been re-evaluating my life lately too. My program is hard and I have to change some of my habits that are holding me back. I have been looking into churches and trying to manage my time so that I can work some yoga and art into my schedule. I guess it is a constructive response to a lot of stress. Gray hair is also a response to it ;) I am also trying to figure out how to say no to people.
If you feel like you need to unload, I'm here. I experience wicked emotions on a monthly basis! What to cry, scream, cause bodily harm to people, gloat, be jealous, be happy? You can call me and tell me about it.
I think you did the right thing. You definitely thought it through and went with what both your head and heart say, and I think that's key. I thought one of the most powerful things you pointed out was how you were afraid of being alone, but then you realized that the way things were going, you kind of already were alone (with the lack of support, etc.). It takes a lot more strength to step up and do what's right for yourself than to sit back and hope that things suddenly become right.
I know what you mean about finding a church, because I've been feeling the same way, but just unsure where to go and what to look for.
Just so you know, I've also always found you amazing, and beyond that, a totally cool person. Drop me a line if you need anything or you want to talk. I love listening :)
I hope your last day at work went well and it wasn't too teary-eyed. I always find that it's the drive home from the last day someplace that gets me.
