*laugh* I think expecting spring on the dot of March starting is a bit optimistic really. Our daffs are emerging but a long way off flowering yet - and the crocuses are only just thinking about getting there, but it's definitely been getting gradually more spring-like.
I think it may have been running a day or two late, 'cos it's looked quite sunny outside today. I was just griping about the weather yesterday which seemed to have been continuing the horrible clammy cold of recent weeks.
(I saw snow either in the air of nearby on the ground every day for over a fortnight, up till last weekend. OK, the final Friday of that involved a mere three snowflakes. And some of the previous days were unmelted remnants of large snow piles in foreign parts.)
Oh when I said 'Not even our daffs have appeared yet', I was meaning the flowers - the plants themselves are thrusting and vigorous.
Our daffs are always later than the others around here. I've seen some splashes of yellow on the way to Andover - not fully open but enough to show what colour they are.
Daffs seem to be very variable in their varieties - ours are always a bit later than some.
It's definitely warming up a bit again this last day or two though - though we only had sunshine yesterday afternoon not today. It does look like Feb was a little colder than average.
