We went to a number of shows this year, and I decided to make a list for my future reference

holy cow - that's more shows than I go to in years...let alone in 1 year...

Yes, it is quite a lot, especially when listed like that. It's pretty much what we do with our disposable income these days. We used to go to more films, but we've recently got into the habit of seeing live entertainment instead: it's different every time, because performers and audience resonate off each other.

We might ease off a bit next year - indeed, right now we have nothing booked in January.

Considering, and removing the cinema trips, it's quite possible that's as many shows as I saw up to age 30.

That may well be true for me too.. not even sure if I could push that to as many shows as I saw up to age 40!

2013 was one good year for shows for you!!

I have been looking through local theatre programmes and made a shortlist of 14 things I'd like to see in Jan-Mar...

We're not so much into theatre, but that's a thought, once they get over the panto season.

I'm classing the Junction and Corn Exchange as theatres for this purpose, and including comedy and gigs...

Ah!

(Though the Junction does seem to be clogged up with Brave Thumbelina, which may be why I've not booked anything there yet.)

I managed to see more movies at the cinema than I usually do, but less local gigs, and about average for international and big arena gigs. No theatre or "in conversations" though (Les Mis next year though, just need to buy a ticket)

Happy New Year to you and Mrs B, btw!
