So I just bought this Ann Taylor dress on e-bay and I can't wait to wear it!!!  I can pair it with a jacket for work, a cardigan for brunch, church, easter, etc.  And it's herringbone!  The pics are protected so I can't post them here but here is the link to the ebay listing:

My brother & sister in law have had their bridal shower & baby shower there! That place is pretty awesome! It's decorated in WWII stuff, though. It looks vintage-y, which is what I think you're going for. They had a Cuban theme for their bridal shower, and it came out AWESOME. The decor didn't really affect their theme.

They did their actual wedding at the coco plum women's club and it came out AWESOME. They had the ceremony in the garden patio, and the reception inside the banquet hall. It wasn't too expensive, either. && It was BEAUTIFUL. (just another idea)

The patterns are all really cute. I'm just not crazy about using that one for your wedding dress. :/ I dono... I'm not convinced. It's your call, of course. :)

Anywhoodles... I'll ttys!

<3 love yah, big! :)

BTW, I was in no way implying that the wedding dress is not pretty. I think it's adorable. I just see it as more casual than a wedding dress, yah know? Anyway, I hope you did not take that the wrong way.

Not at all. :) But thats just the thing - I want to have a simple, informal wedding. Not CASUAL of course, but I don't want to parade around in some dress I could never wear again. I don't want to be too traditional. I feel like most weddings parade the bride around like a princess and that's just not me! I just want to celebrate that Ralph and I are legally married. If you look on facebook Gia (Abreu) is tagged in a photo from her cousin's wedding. It's one of the first photos she is tagged in and you can see they did a vintage wedding also. She is pretty much the inspiration for what I want my look to be.
