Davies in my favorite author. I like several of the others very much. Don't know Baldwin, Korman, or Sutcliff's works. I'lll remember those names.

Shauna Singh Baldwin has only three books: two novels and a book of short stories. I absolutely love What the Body Remembers, her first novel. It's set in India in the ten years leading up to, and during, the partition of India and Pakistan.

Gordon Korman and Rosemary Sutcliff both write kids' books. Korman writes humour, and I love them, but I don't know how they'd stand up to a first reading by an adult. Sutcliff's books are historical fiction, mostly set in Britain in or around the Roman period.
