Nov 28, 2004 11:28

I would call November 2004 is the worst month of the year, minus December. At least that's what I think until 11 30 AM of 28th Nov.

*BIG SIGH*

Sometimes I wonder whether I can still go on but before I knew it I already survived 27 1/2 days of bad month. The 'O' levels was not all that bad, in fact it was a rather enjoyable experience. However all the other things including starvation, weight loss, house searching, etc etc have been REALLY REALLY BAD. Many of you would probably never understand this as you will never have to go through all the torture. Yes I've been moving house for so many times, including 3 times last yr and once to be done in a few day's time. Oh ops have I mentioned that I haven't even confirmed on where to move to? Oh yes I must get all my stuff out of this house by 30th, so let's see if I even have anywhere to settle next.

What the hell? Cheap house but must be clean and newly decorated (if you get those oldish type, chances are you have to pay for all the repairments yourself), got to be at the center site (preferrably near the city). Why the fuss? Uhm, I'm going to a JC next year and the results will only be out on the 17th so right now I don't even have a guarantee which JC I'll be going to. A few choices in mind included VJC (which is already out of option) in Eastcoast, ACJC (first choice) in Dover, SAJC (second choice) in Alexandra Rd for first year and Potong Pasir in 2006. AC n SA might be rather close to each other so that's not a big problem BUTTTTT never forget! What if I end up in SA after first three months? Potong Pasir ain't exactly that near you know. So due to prelims results VJ was unreachable, so we were thinking of Clementi area for AC. Is there 100% guarantee I'm getting into AC? NOPE. So we cant live in Clementi. Oh yes we found one at Pine Grove, really not bad pretty cheap but then again, potong pasir..... urgh.

My sister studies in NAFA at Bugis area, so clementi is quite out. But she's willing to travel since it's rather cheap there, big house too. EHM, Widya studyin in SMU, currently at Bt Timah road, moving to Doubhy Ghout (I ALLLWAYS HAVE TROUBLE SPELLING THIS!!) area in August 2005. HAH! Confusing? OF COURSE! You don't know how it feels like to have to concentrate studying for your O levels and at the same time looking for a house. My poor sister had to handle MANY MANY agents while she's having her exams. I really wish I could help her more but rah I have this problem with calling strangers, I will not elaborate.

The best site we could find is River Valley, haha, we were probably dreaming to find a cheap but nice house to live in there. I mean RIVER VALLEY lol. Ok nevermind. We tried Sophia ct are but the houses there are not cheap plus they're sooooo old. It's so so so difficult to find one.

Oh no! What again? We were actually made up of 4 ppl, me sis Wid n her friend, thus we were looking for a 3 rm house. The very last week of the month, suddenly Wid's friend got to back out. We had to cancel all the appointments we made and start searching for a 2 rm house. MADNESS!

After contacting at least 10 agents (mostly sis n Wid), and viewing more than 15 house all over Singapore, we narrowed down our choices to 3.

1. The Kasturina
site : River valley rd
desc : 2 bedroom, pretty small (less than 1000 sq m), partially furnished (gotta buy more stuff)
plus point : GREAT location, lots of buses, near to Great World City (therefore, supermarket etc etc), lots of food stall nearby
JAN: ACJC bout 30 min, SAJC current bout 15 min, potong pasir never bother to count
        EUN: NAFA 20 min max
WID: SMU 30 min max, next yr august 20 min max
minus point : small, parents come can't stay over, more expensive, partially furnished

FIRST CHOICE

2. Pine Grove
site: Holland Rd
desc : HUGE, 2 floors, 3 bedroom, 100 buckz cheaper than Kasturina, fully furnished, pretty old but livable
plus point : near to ACJC, cheap, fully furnished, lots of space, parents can stay over, big swimming pool, better facilities, 1 room for JANICE!!!!
minus point: far to SMU n NAFA, might need lots of repairments, too big for us to maintain, far from potong pasir

3. Maplewoods
site: bt timah rd
desc: beeeyoooootiful, slightly bigger than kasturina, haven't viewed yet, viewing today soon so more details next post.

We were thinking of the Kasturina, seriously. Maplewoods is very very tempting, but it's rather far from SMU new site and NAFA. It's rather near to AC but quite far to SA. So, its minus point is its location but other than that. *whistle* We shall see.

MEANWHILE, I'm SICK. Oh yeaaasss I am darn SICK. Fever sore throat and flu. Nope not going to doc. I believe rest and lots of water are still the best medicine, anti biotics are bleargh.I can feel pleghm forming so that's cough coming up!

Prom was FUN. Post prom was EVEN BETTER. I'm still contemplating whether to put pics up, I'm rather annoyed 80% of my pics are blur. I hate the lighting! OOOFFFF! Mr Tan was so upset that our photo turned up so blur *sniff* he said that he wants the photo that he'll keep for very very long and it turned out blur. *sigh* ALL MY FAULT!

You can peep at some photos here and two make up photos of mine here, done by none other than my dearest chewingballs ! She's such a sweetheart she did such a WONDERFUL job! Thank you dear!!!!!

So, pics are blurry, tell me if you still want to see! or aiyah I'll post them next time ok? PROMISE

PS : I'm going back Indo on the 1st of Dec, I might take a risk to come back later than 17th, I don't know if I need to appeal or not.

CIAO!
