The leading evolutionist, Andrew Flew (or Flue or perhaps Flu), recently (as in the last couple of years) has renounced that evolution could be factual. He has pronounced that there must be intelligent design. While saying this, he has not made any claims to beliving in creation, still this is a HUGE step.
The weight of his announcement could be likened to that of this sort of situation: Billy Graham holding a press conference and saying, "Folks, Christianity isn't true. For years, I have invested my life into a lie. The Bible isn't really the Word of God, etc." Yikes. Big deal!
