24 weeks later
It’s been 24 weeks since I have posted anything. That is not to say my posts before that had been anything, because really I hadn’t been posting or saying ~anything~ for a while. So eh, update for those that care, are bored, e-stalking, or whatever.
Work-
Now- It’s meh, It’s up, It’s down. I have to finish these certifications I’ve been working on for the last year… err... has it been two. I study from time to time, but always put it off. I keep missing the damn sign up dates, because well dates are not my friend.
Future- Finish the licenses. Get a raise, a new position, say “fuck you!” and then move somewhere with a colder climate at least for a few years. I love Austin. I need to live in a larger city in yankeeland for a while thought.
Gaming
Now- I’m not. I WOW some. I keep cutting back that play time though. I like to find something where I feel productive when I am done. WOW doesn’t do that for me. RPGs don’t.
Future- None.
Love life
Now- Nothing worth mentioning. I try to get a date a week or so. I’m afraid I’m going to have to start hitting up the homeless people on the street corners at this rate though. Every girl I meet that holds my attention from more then 10 minutes doesn’t seem interested in me and those that can’t see overly interested. Well there is one girl in particular right now. But, it’s something I’m skittish about. I think my last 2 relationships have messed my up some how.
Future- Eh wherever. I’ll get there eventually. Maybe I can get Nogg to hook me up with a HJ the next time he is down ;) j/k
School
Now- Not going.
Future- I need to get back and finish my degree. It really wouldn’t take long and if I timed it right I could finish my degree and all the Fire Alarm Licenses at the same time, or at least close enough.
Umm… uhhh… those are the big ones I guess.
Got Neb’s bachelor party this Friday, WOOT! For him. I still have no earthly idea what to say for the best man speech, “Champaign for my real friends, Real pain for my sham friends,” (Francis Bacon) doesn’t cut it.
I finished The Crying of Lot 49 a couple weeks back. I like Pynchon. His style is groovy. Just picked up Notable American Women by Ben Marcus. He is hard to read I think. I can only take him in small doses and I don’t think this is one of his best novels.
The one girl that is holding my interests has got me on this British invasion kick. I had to pull out all my old The Kinks albums… which I promptly put away because I don’t own a record player any more. So I turned around and downloaded a shit ton of their stuff and a bunch of stuff from The Libertines and Babyshambles. I forgot how much I liked The Kinks. The Libertines and Babyshambles are pretty good as well. I managed to miss them their first time around.
Uumm... yeah that is more then enough to entertain anyone for 5-10 minutes. So there. Ya’lls turn.
