Great essay! Her presence at CON next year may persuade me to do more than work in the dealers room and browse parties. As it was, my first foray into CON land was brief, and reasonably sober. It was fun to see you and your new LOOK!

I might have to come to ConV next year for the first time. Because Valente will be there. It provides impetus and justification that just might possibly overcome the "you really wouldn't enjoy it" voices, both internal and external, that have always prevented my attending before. Hmmm.

My main concern for you is the crowd, which can be overwhelming even for an extrovert (like me). On the other hand, there is plenty to keep even an introvert entertained, as long as you're careful about remembering to recharge yourself.
