It finally dawned on me why I cannot stand the Republican ideology:

We are people, not business (big or small) first.

It feels as if I've been fighting this ideology every time I vote.

tongue-tide, mocha hands,
& so what if the sand is
coffee grounds? we will
roll and froth and pray
and sway. seaweed
is togas, the sun a burner
plate on the stove
sizzling away our sweat.

& i know none of this
makes sense now;
but it will, for i will place
