I'm back from Pittsburgh. I'm not going to get into how the trip went, except to say that Doug's father and friends were lovely to me. Of course, that saddens me, as I don't know that I'll ever make it out there again to see them. I'm not going to elaborate on that. Not really. -

So, I've been trying to have some kind of holiday spirit this year. I had none last year. I actually started Christmas shopping last week. Uncle Flory, one of my oldest family friends, died yesterday afternoon, around 3pm. Lung cancer. :( -
I'm not dead
I've just been very busy, and sick as hell. I spent the past two weekends as a crazy person in the Haunted House that Chris wrote. It was for the group that I do the renaissance faire with. Stripe, March 1991 - October 2006
I had to put Stripe to sleep yesterday. On top of her chronic renal failure, she had an acute episode, and they could've kept her in the hospital, but we were already doing fluids, and her body was finally giving out. busy, busy, busy
So yeah, working the day after a holiday weekend is a nightmare. I didn't even leave work until 5, I shortened my lunch, and I was still processing work at 4pm. For all of you who have no idea how things work in a bank, you usually start processing things around 8:30, and you're done by 3. That's not counting the 45 minutes you get for lunch. So, Chris just called me to tell me that I was being invited to Noreen's by him, on behalf of Doug, for a production/planning meeting. Gah. Yes, you read that correctly.
