A Tale of Walmart

I just had to share this anecdote of a customer today because the utter ridiculousness of it was so extreme that it merits mentioning. Okay, so this dude gets sent over to lawn & garden to purchase a grill that's out front. That's weird in of itself because he's supposed to get that up front, not in lawn & garden. Oh dude, if only. I hate our policy of no assembly fee. Every customer who gets something that comes preassembled is the biggest twat about it.

Like the ones who get furniture/patio sets? They expect me to know how much they can take in their cars.

You didn't smack him? Or throw something at him?

There's a reason I don't work in CS.

Surprisingly, no. But I really wanted to pick one of the grills and hit him in the face repeatedly with it asking him if he liked that color instead.

I almost did bludgeon this one guy with my price gun because he kept asking me the price on shit & ended up not buying anything. I mean literally everything in the department he wanted to know how much it was. Like there were no price tags or something around jfc.

Then he saw a grill that had a shipping label that someone wrote "-39" and he was like "Does that mean it's $39 off the $148?" It was on a shipping label & I had to spend five minutes explaining that to him.

I vote for the right of at least one free bitchslap per awful customer. Preferrably a bitchslap of "IT WAS A ROBOT HEAD" levels of harsh.

Here, let me give you some Misha to make you feel better.

I will never understand the mentality of walking into a store & acting like a bitch like that just because you can. Everyone should have to work retail at least once in their life to get rid of that sense of self-entitlement imo.
