Well for me personally, its the mechanical simplicity.

I think you remember my old bike? I had to replace because the dérailleurs were getting fucked up by the amount of torque I was exerting, so I got a stronger bike, and same problem. though this one was still under warranty.

If I bought th craigslist one the top tube pad would be gone and that thing would be getting a less loud paint job asap, and a normal handle bar wrap.
