Had to put Oreo down today.

For those who don't know, Oreo is one of my cats. I picked her out when I was 5 or 6. My mom wanted a different cat, but I stuck to my guns and we got Oreo instead. She quickly became my mom's favorite, and one of the best cats we've ever had. She was just very loving and caring.

*hugs* As I said before, at least she died a happy kitty, and in one of her favorite places. She was lucky that she went so happily and not in pain, or alone.

Yeah, I just really wish I hadn't left. Had I know, I would have stayed at the vet's office. As it is, Wiggles still doesn't seem to get what happened, or notice. I don't know if I envy or pity him.

It's best you just had her put down rather than letting her die. It's much worse when they die from a disease. I've had a lot of cats, and seen a few die from cancer...it's horrible. Urgh. I'm sorry man.

She really was a great cat. I've had a lot of cats in my life, as well. Generally they seem to stick to themselves unless they are in the mood for attention. Oreo was one of those cats that would curl up in your lap whenever she got the chance. What bothers me the most is that we have 5 animals, and only one of them would have hit me harder. Oreo was my mom's favorite, and I doubt she'll get over the loss all that soon.

It just sucks in general.
