Ugh.  It's a good thing I love my job, because it's really irritating me right now.  Not only do I have to be at work on Sunday at a reception for our highest paying clients (which my boss thoughtfully told me yesterday at the end of the day), but I also have to be at another client dinner thing on Thursday night.  So while everyone else is ( Read more... )

MY GRANDMA IS ON FACEBOOK TOO! It was bad enough when it was just my Dad! Ugh, ugh. I really can't be bothered to lock everything down, though - I figure it's her fault if she gets disturbed by snooping through my info and pics and suchlike. ;)

STILL. Facebook is becoming more alarming than fun. And I feel you about old school friends; I friended a bunch of them back when they found me even though I don't care about them, but now all their conversations about how many kids they're popping out - an alarming number of them have multiple already and they're only about 22 - keep showing up on my feed. DO NOT WANT.

Oh no, that sucks about Thursday! Boo! Come commiserate with us on the wrong side of the pond :D

Ahaha oh no! Grandmas need to stay so far off Facebook it's not even funny. I wish I could leave everything unlocked, but I have a quote about masturbation right on my profile (ahaha, that sounds so weird, but it's funny) and knowing my grandma, she'd call up my mom and ask all about it. I'm just glad my parents are too computer illiterate for it.

YES, the weird people from school and their kids! There's even one who posts her ultrasound pictures, and it's like - I barely know you, why did you think I'd want to see the inside of your uterus?

Hee, is there some kind of support group? Now I'll have to avoid LJ until Friday, too, and I think I might go through withdrawal. :D

my grandma is on Facebook

That is really quite scary. O__o I was freaked enough when my mum's cousin friended me...

It's just...not right. My grandma doesn't need to see those pictures of me doing jello shots or making my drunk face. :D

Oh MAN. I am quite glad that my grandpa (my only surviving grandparent) is so not technologically equipped for FB...

Hee. I totally thought I was safe too - my grandma once called me and kept saying her computer screen wouldn't move, and I finally figured out it was because she didn't know how to work the scroll button. And now she's on Facebook, so. They do learn. :D

I miss those days, too! Now they even warned us when I graduated that employers could be looking at our pages if we weren't careful. *shudders*

Oh, that sucks. Waiting is hard, but so is watching with someone who doesn't get it. Maybe you can wait until they fall asleep or sneak away for a bit. :D

And hee, I love your icon. Dean would totally make that face about Facebook, if he knew what it was.

I've heard about that, too! Ugh. Facebook is bad enough already. I hate when people use it for stupid stuff like spying.

Hee, awesome plan! Good luck!

Working on Sundays sucks.

And your grandma is on facebook? My Mom doesn't even know how to switch on a computer, so cudos to your grandma for being so active. But yeah, I probably wouldn't friend her either.

Hee. I think my grandma has mostly adapted to computers because it's so much easier to keep track of all the family that way. And now Facebook will get her all the gossip even sooner. Which is probably why I'm not friending her back.
