tweets

from what i've seen, Twitters are all blog content without any context. random one-liners which make no sense on their own and have nothing to help extrapolate any useful info.

the only twitters that seem to have any content at all are those that contain links people find.

personally, i don't see what the big deal is.

i should add that while i don't get twitter, it's no harder to skip over when irrelevant than your average survey or blog widget. so i don't kick friends that post twitters.

I use my Twitter account for two purposes: to keep track of progress on various projects, and to keep my loved ones apprised of my location when I travel. My husband uses it as a sort of miniblog to post when new songs or comics are posted on his website. Neither of us port it to LiveJournal. I figure if people are curious about my location, they can check my Twitter. LJ is for more substantial updates. My feelings about other people porting Twitter to LJ depends solely on the frequency with which they update. I don't mind seeing extra mini-blog posts, but I also don't want my friendspage to be filled with someone posting every twenty minutes. :)

I have yet to actually figure out what is the point of twitter. Then again, I've yet to figure out why everyone is gaga over facebook or myspace anymore than say, lj...

I'm obviously not part of the 'with it' group. :)

I've heard about Twitter but never used it nor seen it used, so I don't know if I like it. I therefore had to choose the "Huh?" option even though I know what Twitter is. :-)

I don't dislike it, either, but I don't feel like I get anything out of the few twitters that have cropped up on my f-page recently.
