Since I have a lot of time to kill, I put together the mixtape that Charlie made for Patrick in the Perks of Being a Wallflower. It's an awesome collection of songs, so even if you haven't read the book and have no idea what I'm talking about, I suggest you download it anyway.

Haha, thanks! Do you like it? I keep listening to the song 'Nights in White Satin' on repeat, it's so great.

I just love the flow of every song. And the fact that the Smiths are on their twice, since I have an obsession with them.

What is the book about? I've heard many talk about it, but never had the chance to look at it.

I've only heard two songs by the Smiths: Asleep and Last Night I Dreamed That Somebody Loved Me (could the title be any longer?). I think they're both great. I recently came across Handsome Devil but I haven't had to chance to listen to it yet.

I've really got to get back from studying for exams, so I hope you don't mind a really short summary! Charlie, a high school freshman from Pittsburgh, tends to observe instead of participate. The book consists of letters that Charlie writes to a stranger and it follows his transformation over a period of about two years. I really like what the back of the book says, so: This is the story of what it 's like to grow up in high school. More intimate than a diary, Charlie's letters are singular and unique, hilarious and devastating. We may not know where he lives. We may not know to whom he is writing. All we know is the world he shares. Caught between trying to live his life and trying to run from it puts him on a strange course through uncharted territory. The world of first dates and mixed ( ... )

Thanks! I've been trying to put together the mix for awhile now and was still missing some some. Nice art too :)

Er...that would be "some" once. Not twice.

Oh, no problem! I had a ton of fun making it. It took me forever to put it together, so I understand what you're feeling. I've been collecting these songs for about six months, no jokes.

And I totally didn't realize that you said 'some' twice. The lack of an edit button bothers me too.

Happy listening!

Oooh, I remember that book! And am downloading, even though I have half of those songs...seriously, my Musique folder is about to explode. It's making my laptop unhappy.

Oh, I guess I'm a bit late, but if you haven't gotten around to downloading it yet, I can upload the songs you need for you. Is your music folder actually called 'Musique folder'? That would be great.

Dammit, already downloaded. Oh well. I'll just go through and delete the ones I don't need.

Actually, my entire computer's in French. And so is our caller id. And we're the only Texans in the world who read Celsius instead of Fahrenheit. My whole house is batshit nuts.

Haven't heard of the book, but I'm downloading anyway. I love the Moody Blues.

I should listen to their other songs. I have some of them on my computer actually. Me and my dad keep listening to Nights in White Satin over and over again. I know when he's pulling into the driveway because I can hear him listening to it really loud with all the car windows open.

You should get the whole album that's from - Days of Future Past - and listen to it all in order at once. It's such a great album.

Will do! And while we're recommending things, I suggest you read The Perks of Being a Wallflower. ^.^
