This song makes me cry. I have such a beautiful life, yet there has to be something missing. Why am I like this? I am surrounded by so many people, yet I feel empty. At night anyway. A simple movie such as Alex & Emma can make me emotional

There is no "too" emotional. The stoics are the ones who miss the beauty in life; I catch myself being one far too often. It is gracious that there are those such as yourself to catch us.

Regarding beauty in life... I used to be afraid of expressing it because I didn't want to come off as a weak person (which I am not), but now I don't mind. I think that if I express my emotions, it only makes me show that I am touched by things, rather than completely oblivious to everything. I guess it's not really a matter of strength. :D

Happy Fourth! though a little belated

Highly emotional people are seen as weak because it's generally believed (and often true) that emotions can be manipulated. Essentially, if you're not a psychopath (by definition, not slander) then you have some vulnerability and you're not prone to gouging out somebody's eyes for toying with you. Being emotional doesn't equate to weakness, though. It's all about mastering your reactions.

Anyway, I was reading some of your other entries and I noticed that you're going to college next year. I also noticed that you have "Occidental College" as an interest in your profile-and that you posted on an Oxy kid's journal (which is where I found your LJ). Are you going to Oxy this next year, by any chance?

Haha, thank you. Happy Fourth to you!! What did you do? My friend and I went to Disneyland.. VERY AWESOME. We ran through lines and whatnot, especially during fireworks.
We went on Splash Mountain (2x), Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones, Big Thunder Railroad, Teacups (3x), Matterhorn (2x), Autopia...
I think that's it?
Pretty good for Fourth of July though :)
But yeah.

The emotion thing, I agree about what you have to say. I just feel that it's not a big deal expressing them anymore. If people are going to think I'm weak, it's their problem because I'm quite the opposite. I'll get into this later. I'm pretty tired :D :D

Speaking about Oxy, I rarely radomly message people online but I was looking at people who listed Oxy on LJ out of curiosity. I don't really know anyone too well going into it, so I thought it wouldn't hurt. I'll be a frosh in the fall. :D I'm really excited.
