I must say I'm proud to say I know who most of those "friends" are! To say the least, drama may not hold relationships together (I must say I think it rattles them a bit) but it makes them interesting. You know it's for real when you can get rattled quite a bit and still make it through. Good way of looking at it, is it not?
there is no such thing as a "perfect relationship". what there is is finding the right person at the right time and making the right moves.. not even "right" but something close to it. see where there's plenty of room for error?
Very true. Very inspiring. It's just that I see you and Damien together and ya'll seem so happy together. You guys make room for each other in your life, and you seem to both be in love. I'm jealous. LoL.
Happy? Yeah, but we end up working through alot because how well are you supposed to get along with someone who once was a stranger, who grew up apart from you with his/her own ideas and goals? It's not easy to share who you are with someone else. It's not easy to find that time, but if you want to you will. Working gym time or dinner time into your schedule is easy enough since we both have to eat and work out. Sharing a group of friends helps. It's not content-ness as much as it is happiness, the end of a search for someone to relate to, atleast for the time being. There's nothing to be jealous of. It'll happen when it's meant to. I don't think that it's something that you go actively looking for, but rather something that finds its way into your life, that you can look for years and never see what's in front of you or never let yourself be open to that one possibility because you're too busy looking away elsewhere and hoping.
I just see contentness and happiness on sorta the same level. Being content for me encompasses everything in a relationship, the good & the bad and the feelings one has, and their desire to make the relationship work. Maybe naivee considering I've only been in one major relationship and thus have nothing else to base it on?
its overcoming the drama that holds a relationship together... But sometimes there is just too much and that causes the relationship to come apart at the seems.
Wow. You are amazing. You give great advice on EVERY topic. You must be a reincarnation of Buddha. :P
But seriously, everything you said makes sense. You seem to have a good grasp on people, relationships, and what you want in life. I admire you for that. :)
