"I Want to Hold Your Hand" - MUSICS GO HERE!

Fweeeheehee. saiika_von_maou inspired me to get my rear in gear and finally finish the FST I started a month ago.

The album art is beautiful, no? Enjoy it, friends, for it is the only drawing by me you will ever see. AND IT IS IN CRAYONS. I drew it this afternoon when I finished my map of Ancient Mesopotamia. I had crayons. I had paper. I am obsessed with this pairing. It made sense at the time. **shrugs**

Do you want explanations for my songs? Or should I let you fumble through and wonder where the flying fudge my logic comes from?

Nah, I'll be nice today.

I think I'm being a little sacrilegious with "The Hunger." When I looked the lyrics up, "Him" was capitalized. Which is usually used in Christianity to refer to a particular Omnipotent Being. So I lower cased it in the lyrics file and pretended it's some chick singing to her friend that he needs "him." I'm thinking Gwen yelling at Ben to get off his ass and snag Kevin before it's too late. XD

"All I Ever Wanted" is just kind of cute. Although I have a tendency to lapse into the original version when I listen to it. Hooray for Warcraft III. XD

The title "I Want to Hold Your Hand" comes from the Beatles song, but was inspired by my crayon doodle. I just doodled it and thought, "Hey, that'd be cute album art for an FST. Wonder if I have any songs about holding hands?" Lo and behold, I did.

"Self Inflicted" is one of those catchy fun songs. I mean, c'mon! It's Katy Perry! How can you NOT love it? And it's got lots of wonderful descriptive imagery.

"Valentine's Day," while a week late, is angsty-ish. Probably because the poor guy is singing about being alone. It's like... in between series? Kevin in the Null Void, maybe.

"Poison" is masochistic, with a dash of sadism. I could picture Ben & Kevin in this kind of relationship.

"The Boys of Summer" has always been kind of Bevin-y to me. Maybe it's the car references. Any love song involving cars should automatically be elevated to "Bevin" status.

"Soul Meets Body." I like how this song could fit Ben. Maybe because Kevin's the "brown eyes." XD

"If Only." Angsty Hoobastank. No BeVin playlist is complete without Hoobastank. This one's another one of those in-between series songs. Or maybe it's one of those Kevin did something stupid and lost Ben songs. That works too.

"Such Great Heights" is a throw back to the original series' "Kevin 11" episode. You know, the one where Ben turns Stinkfly and he and Kevin fly around NYC attracting SWAT teams and helicopters. (Kill the mood of the song, why don't you, tonksy?)

"Misery Business" is one of those "MUAAHA! BITCH! I GOT HIM AND YOU DIDN'T!" songs. Kevin yelling at Julie? Ben yelling at Gwen? Who knows? It's a little incongruous, to the overall relationship between Ben & Kevin, lyric-wise in the middle what with the "people never change" thing. Ah well. Still good stuff.

"Always" is as sappy a love song as any you'll get out of blink-182. I tend to go into dork mode and picture Ben & Kevin singing it. Because you know, blink-182 had two vocalists. **shot**

And, finally, "Declaration." You knew David Cook was going on here. Here he is. I think I made an icon using lines from this song. Now if only I could find it... **burrows through old files** AHA! FOUND IT!

And that is all for me til I get the next Bananafishstickers post done. Fooshaa.

fst, poster: tonks17, not quite art, please don't stop the music
