So, um...anyone remember these?
http://ben10-x-kevin11.livejournal.com/47714.html I finally did another one. >.<
When Ben turned 18, he and Kevin decided to hijack a space-cruiser and spend the summer traversing the galaxy. “Kinda like your summers in the Rustbucket, only sexier,” Kevin had said. They left only a sticky note saying “We’re taking the cruiser, see you in a few months;” and promptly ignored all angry calls for the first few hours.
They spent a lot of time visiting the really tourist-y spots in the galaxy, but always wound up finding little treasure troves in some corner of their planet of the week that even some locals didn’t know about. Places like that little diner in the Hugopata Quadrant that served some really amazing food from different parts of the galaxy (Ben had tried a little bit of everything-as much as he protested this, he really did take after his grandfather in a lot of ways); or the series of ancient tunnels they found on Kinet.
When they weren’t exploring new areas of space, it was just them, the stars, and the relatively cozy quarters of their space-cruiser. Sometimes they just put it on autopilot and meshed together on the seats, kissing sloppily, bodies heating up quickly in the confined space. In the darkness and vastness of space, they felt exposed and intimate at the same time. Even more so when their communication system didn’t start blinking in the middle of things-not that it ever actually killed the mood. But it would have Ben stifling a laugh even though only Kevin was around to hear it, and the whispers of breath on Kevin’s ear would give him chills.
Sometimes they just let themselves be a couple of romantic dorks, cuddled together and looking at the stars. They never spent much time planning where they would go, or even when they’d leave space and return home. Most of their time was sharing moments, and whispers, and kisses, and letting their hearts beat in sync next to each other.
They came home just as the summer ended, sharing a secret smile.
