Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter, was killed by a sting ray strike to the chest.

He was my hero :.( I named my birds after him.

Oh god, his poor wife and daughters. I've always loved him too. *hugs*

Son and daughter ;) I know. And he was young too. At least it was doing what he loved best, you know? He was filming a documentary on deep sea reefs or something like. *snugs*

I forgot he had a boy last time. This has hit me really hard, I used to watch him almost every day.

I hope Terry has lots of support, I'd still be in shock if I was her.

Do you know, I think it's something she always had in the back of her mind, because he was getting close to dangerous animals when she was just a kid, and he kept doing it while they were married, while she was pregnant, after they had their children. I think maybe she would have expected something like this would happen eventually.

I heard the news while smashed in the back of a car driving across a bridge, and I immediately thought of you. I know what you thought of him, I know how much he meant to you. I almost feel like I should say that I'm sorry for your loss.

I... yeah. That's it, I guess.

Aww, and see I immediately thought of you.

Thank you for thinking of me, huh? I mean, it's not like my life is being put on hold or anything, it's just really sad, because it's not often anymore I get to see anyone, in person or through some other device, doing absolutely what they love best, you know? Because I want to be that person some day. Not necessarily out there wrangling crocodiles, mind you, just doing what I want to do, no questions asked.

Aww, really? I was crushed, I spent the rest of the trip just staring out the window.

Thanks for thinking of me too. I know what you mean, and I agree; it's rare that you see somebody who's so very enthusiastic and excited about what they do. I want to be that person too, but it would be hard, I think. Which is sad.

Ugh, I'm rambling. So tired. *topples over*

Me too. I didn't even hear about it first hand. I was playing a game online, and someone had an away up about RIP Steve Irwin so I flipped out and got onto google. Terrible.

Aye, that's very true. I think especially for those of us who really have to depend on ourselves for at the very least financial stability, it's hard to go out and just do something, especially if what we enjoy most is something creative, you know?

Go to bed, silly.
