Seriously, though, sorry to hear you had such a bad time. Maybe that's all your bad luck out the way for a while. Who knows. At least you're still seeing the humour in life, and at least you're getting your scan fairly soon and not having to wait three months like my Mum did when she had Menieres disease (at the time they thought it might have been a brain tumour). I hope it all goes well.
What you lack, that I don't, is a hammer, some string and a piece of bamboo. Thanks to leaving those things in the greenhouse, I was able to get back into my house when I locked myself out. I leave the question of how as an exercise for the reader.
