overqualified can mean that you're looking for a higher pay than they can afford to give you.

But we never got to the pay part...it was only first interview. Argh.

Well, they probably thought it anyway.

It happened to me... but in a good way.

I got a signing bonus in replace of the bonus I would have gotten at my company.

They didn't know that I didn't or wouldn't have gotten a bonus at my former employer.
