It seems like I'm having trouble getting my engines started. I'm pretty sure I have enough fuel, considering the long vacation I had, but for some reason I can't light those candles. There's a lot I have to do, but none of it urgently important, so I haven't done squat. Any remedies?

checked for spark? it's either gonna be spark or fuel, and if you've got fuel, you just need spark.

Good point. Spark should come soon, and hopefully it will be me doing the sparking rather than some other commitment because that would be stressful. Baptism by fire is no fun.

External spark is generally bad; internal spark is the only way to go. External spark generally means lightning.
