I often compare how my life is going to how strongly some metaphorical engines are burning. For instance, after graduation, I was burned out. Today wraps up a two-and-a-half week long celebration of my 22nd birthday. A year ago the Dow reached its max of 14,000. It is now below 8,000.

I sense nothing dangerous on the horizon. I feel complacent with where I am in life. I don't feel the burning urge to do more with my life. The Federal Reserve made a decision today to rescue AIG with an $85 billion deal that would give the US government a 79.9% stake in the international insurance company. This makes me wonder, how many government bailouts have occurred in this year alone?? Does anyone have a list?
