Nice Things

  • Riding the bike in the cold wind, face protected by a cowl, wandering around City Park. Hearing the unidentified festival in the meadows. Stopping to sit next to the bayou, watching pelicans dive-bomb the water. I miss NOLA winters. It's like winter lite. You can really enjoy the outdoors and the cool weather without freezing to death.

I'm sure there'll be some atrocious disaster in my life to make up for all the greatness. If nothing else, all my current cats will be dead by the time I'm 40.

But damn, that is a very nice thing you said. I'd add it to my bullet points if I felt like it which I don't.
