I was recently pointed in one of the writing craft blogs I read here: http://www.librarything.com/Library thing. You put all the books in your library into your profile (or all the books you've ever read, perhaps). It lets you rate the books, it shows you people with similar tastes, it recommends new books, and it even recognizes my obscure

Do you have any idea how long that would take me to fill out? It would be good for getting an actual listing of the books I own, but yeesh!

Heh. I'm using it less as a real 'library' and more as a 'read it' check list. I thought of about fifty books on my own, then started browsing other people's lists. Whenever I find a book that I've read, I grab it.

It's such a shiny distraction...
