I have bad news to share. I was totally confused when we were talking the other week about when you'll be down here. I thought you would be here the 3rd weekend of july, not the third weekend of june. It turns out that I am supposed to be a counselor at camp, and we have to be there on the 17th. Which is the day of the wedding you're coming down for. Which means I'll be at camp on the 18th when we were totally supposed to hang out. And I tried to see if Drew would be in town, but he won't be. And Jenny will be at Bonaroo. I haven't checked with Thad. But I know that you could come to camp on Sunday. And then we could go from there about getting you to the airport on Monday. Man, I'm a bad friend sometimes. I really need a calendar I can carry with me.
Wedding at 4pm (Sat) in jasper. Reception to follow. I'm guessing that puts things winding down in JASP about 9ish.
It's possible that i'd be able to get a ride to Birmingham that night. Possibly. Earliest ETA in bham would be about 11pm Sat night, i'm guessing. Still would need to find a place to stay that night [big loose end #1].
Then, either really late sat. night (doubtful) or sunday morning, i'd have to get a ride, somehow, to Camp. [Biggest loose end #2]
Then, once at camp (assuming i get there) i'd frolick. reminiss (sp) and enjoy sunday and monday morning. Then, i'd need to get a ride back to BHM airport [big loose end #3] in time to dive onto my plane which departs at: 4:25pm
P.S. Do we know if it would even be ok for me to be a "guest" at camp. I know this has been frowned upon in the past. For what its worth, i'm happy to work my ass off. I'll help do anything. Just to see camp again after all these years would be SO incredible!
Do tell! I'm sorry I can't be there, I'm going to be in Birmingham three of the next four weekends, so I have to take one off and it just happens to be Father's day and your weekend... sorry! We'll hook up soon and yes, we'll celebrate!
