hey! i'm a HUGE JERK for not getting over here to comment sooner--i was one of the betas for this fic and have gotten (/continue to get) just as much enjoyment from the soundtrack as the fic. or, well...the enjoyment of the one feeds the enjoyment of the other? YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. it's a positive feedback loop! i totally yoinked your earlier draft of this and was listening during my final beta reading, and fell in love with a bunch of the songs then. and i have continued to use it as my go-to 'falling asleep' or 'doing serious work' playlist, most recently playing 'last waltz' on repeat-one (it inspired me to drag out my violin again!). there was tons of new-to-me stuff on here as well as already-faves, which is always a delight! and it was fun to see what made the final cut and to read what your thoughts were about how each song wove into the story. Thank you for the comment! I'm really glad you found the fanmix so enjoyable. I had a lot of fun picking out songs that I felt fit the ~mood~ of the fic, and putting it together. It's actually pretty gratifying as a mixer to hear you use it as a falling asleep/doing serious work mix. I actually listen to it myself when I want to just chill and be calm. Heh.
