Quite compelling, and slightly ... creepy? Not sure if that's the right word. Perhaps unsettling. Anyway, thanks for sharing!

One nit -- you might check your prophesy v. prophecy. I think there's a few places where you use the second in place of the first.

it was really beautiful!!
Really sad too.

i hope they had the first destiny it was better, but he wanted to be believed more than be loved at the end so Sherlock to the core this Cassandra!

“Not yet,” the soothsayer replies. “I will be soon.”

The soldier smiles reflexively at the joke.That's the moment when the hair rose on the back of my neck. Eeeeeeeeeeeeep. His future-tense dialogue was subtly and brilliantly handled throughout ( ... )
